This may seem like a scene from a bad horror movie but it's much scarier than that. A cry went up from the Senate floor that extending unemployment benefits would cripple our country via the National Debt. All the Republicans cheered. That same day Senate Republican leader M. McConnell claimed that the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy didn't increase the deficit. Huh? That's right,
Voodoo Economics are back from the dead. Like a crazed zombie that keeps getting up after being killed over and over with facts, these people just keep regurgitating the same Bull Sh*t and telling us it's chicken soup. HELLO AMERICA! If we want a balanced budget we have to face the facts, Democrats do a better job of running the government. Now there are plenty of gripes I have with the Dems but the GOP, known as the Party for the rich and of the rich want to continue slashing tax rates for millionaires while starving working class folks whose jobs got moved to China so the CEOs could take home an extra couple of million. This graph shows that since Ronald Reagan the GOP has driven this country into a ditch and they want the keys to the car again.
The reality nobody wants to talk about is that our country does better when the rich pay more in taxes. When Eisenhower was in office the upper tax rate was above 75% and we had the greatest prosperity in our history. I know this goes against what we've been told by the pundits but the numbers don't lie. When Clinton raised taxes on the upper income bracket, we went from deficit to surplus and the economy boomed. Now don't get me wrong, Clinton got some things right but many thing wrong like NAFTA, but his tax policy was right on. When business have to pay more tax on profits, they reinvest in the company and hire more people, buy more machines and generally help the country.
There are many, many reasons that tax cuts are wrong for our country right now. They do nothing to stimulate the economy and the rich don't spend that extra money they put in off-shore banks to hide it. It's time for the people to wake up and let's kill zombie economics once and for all.
I think the "We the People" is integral to solutions.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I would humbly suggest looking into this dilemma we find our system in, is in fact a copulation of complicity by "ALL" participants, if not certainly the vast majority.
I truly cannot agree with any perception of us against them thinking. I think that is exactly what they want. Which means by the lack of inclusion "Not" throwing with equanimity all those elected officials which ever side of the aisle they come from out of office.
By drawing a line in the sand as democrat this dilutes and very sound message you have articulated here. I believe we are fighting for survival and that means "Everyone" looking into the mirror and seeing the Truth... for it resonates clearly to many.
This is a fact as sad as it is to see. Just look to O'bama's hires and 90% of all his hires were Lobbyists and those that worked for lobbyists. My point being each side gets lost in the semantics and the truth is 98% of these individuals that have held these seats of power have acquiesced the majority their responsibilities for a corporate agenda (closed door negotiations on health bill) Obama ranted and raved all over the country before being elected he would have open and on CNN every word/ he said) well so much for transparency... "of the people by the people".
Unfortunately not one minute of the weeks of talks were ever revealed and you must ask why. The answer is not in the favor of any legislation for us the people. Because when it is that gets all the media attention when it's nasty = "No Media" why is that?
I believe we need to loose the labels for this very reason or you reach the minds of a very few like minded. As probably happened with the facts I stated above. THIS is much larger then us against them.
The many will only see justice when both side see the wisdom in voting most out from both sides and then trying those for the financial and other various crimes. That means if it's 200 republicans and 145 democrats who need to go WHY make any case for who replaces them other then they are Honest.
This system has been rigged to have us do exactly this aisle fighting amongst each other and they go about raping this country, our education, our children and all the rest of us while we finger point it was your guy that did this to our country.
The fact is, with little effort one could find very disturbing evidence on just about every member in both houses that would put you or me behind jail bars but not these Nit Wits.
Who do you think wrote the laws for a full pay pension after only 1 two year term and the ability to keep all the donated moneys from their Election campaign and it is NOT TAXABLE.
So please think of this when deciding your allegiance to a party over putting the an HONEST man in that seat. Or you will get exactly what you are disgusted with and what is destroying the very fabric of this Nation..... ME ME ME ME ME........ that's what this two party system has Devolved into.... who can scream louder about the other side...
Instead of searching out the truth and then embracing it!!!
